Food

For a community our size, you would be surprised at the variety of cuisine in our community.  We have restaurants that have been featured on the Food Network Canada television show “You Gotta Eat Here”, a whole host of family run comfort food eateries, and a number of lakeside restaurants that  feature executive chefs that have decided to come up to Muskoka to escape the rat race of the city and cook in an environment where the pace is a little slower.

We want to specifically mention a few of these food and beverage businesses as they are big supporters of TriMuskoka Triathlon Club and the events that we host.

Robinson’s Your Independent Grocer

131 Howland Drive, Huntsville ON

705 789 6972

Robinson’s is a strong supporter of many community initiatives and events here in Huntsville, and they are the largest grocery store in town.  Just a walk away from some of the larger hotels, including the Holiday Inn, it is a great place to get groceries.  They have a large natural and health food selection, fresh fruit and vegetables section, and a pharmacy should you require some medical help.

Henrietta’s Pine Bakery

At the corner of Highway 60 and Highway 35, Dwight ON

705 635 2214

Henrietta’s Pine Bakery has been around since 1963, and this stands as a true testament to the quality of their baked goods.  Athletes tackling The Beast have been tempted to veer off course to follow their nose at this corner of the course where they can smell the amazing cinnamon rolls, the infamous Muskoka clouds, and any number of amazing baked goods that they make fresh on site.  This is a “must do” when you are in Muskoka.  Make sure you stop in and say hi to the owners, Jeff and Karin, and let them know we sent you.
