Running Routes

Golf Course Road Loop (via mapmytri.com)

Scenic run route, along part of the 70.3 route, but get a mix of country and city all in this run. Park in Tim Hortons, or in Canadian Tire to start

Fairy Lake Loop (via mapmytri.com)

This is a great loop with most of it on scenic backroads, and part of it on highway 60 as you come back. Rolling hills are a feature here. If you want a good hill for a hill workout (even a bike/run hill brick workout) you can go to the 5k mark and just do that. Start at Brunel/West Browns Road for your warm up jog and get to the hill for your repeats

Run or Bike or Run/Bike Hill Brick … Huntsville’s Hellish Hilliest Workout (mapmytri.com)

Here is one of the best progressive hill workouts in Huntsville, according to Triathlon Muskoka members. The map is a bit confusion, but start at the corner of Minerva and West Street. Go up the hill 2 times for a warm up. Then bike over to Centre/Mary and do that hill 3 times, then Lansdown/Centre and do that 4 times, Then Duncan/Centre 3 times, and Florence/Centre 2-3 times. Finish off by going back down to Minerva/Centre and doing the whole Centre street hill 3-4 times. Do it all on the bike, or all running, or do it as a brick and leave your equipment at the corner. Crazy hills!!!!

Willamsport Road/Harp Lake Out and Back (via mapmytri.com)

The first 5k aren’t too bad for hills, but around Harp Lake it is quite hilly. Start at the Grassmere end if you want a long hill run without the same hill every time, or start at the Williamsport Road end (the start of this mapped route) if you want a flatter run. Turn back whenever for your out and back. Country paved road, quite scenic without much traffic usually
