Volunteers are the heart and soul of our events
Our community has hosted international triathlon events since 1992, all of which couldn’t have been possible with out local residents and visitors to volunteer for them. Our volunteers come from all around the world, so this is not only a great chance to help an event be all that it can be, but you can meet some great people that you might never have had the opportunity to meet before.
Get up close and personal
Athletes rely on volunteers as part of their “Race Crew”. Whether it is pointing them in the right direction to the swim start, handing them some nutrition, or hanging the medal around their necks at the finish, volunteers make the race personally fulfilling for not only the athlete but the volunteers themselves. Volunteers have a direct impact on athletes getting from the start line to the finish line.
Tri-curious? Here is your chance to check out the sport
If you are someone that is curious about doing an event like this, then volunteering is your chance to witness first-had ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Help people get into their wetsuits and then peel them off at the end of the swim. Help athletes find their bikes and cheer them on as they head out onto the course. Help them refuel at bottle exchanges and water stations along the race course. And of course, cheer them on and bear witness to ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
So, what are you waiting for?
You really can’t lose by being a volunteer. Either you will be instrumental in helping others achieve their goals and/or the volunteer experience will be the catalyst for you filling out an entry for next year’s race. You too can achieve extraordinary things.

Ontario Pioneer Camp Volunteer Village
Ontario Pioneer Camp has graciously offered up a number of their dorm style rooms to create a "Volunteer Village" for Ironman Muskoka. Pioneer Camp is a 20 minute drive from the race site on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Port Sydney. For $15 per person, per night, these accommodations provide a true Muskoka experience as "camp life" is central to what Muskoka is all about. Click on the link below to view the flyers and details:
Contact Pioneer Camp to book your spot and let them know you are a volunteer for the race!
