it is normal to be a bit nervous. but we are here to help calm your nerves so you can focus on having a lot of fun.

Georges st. Pierre once said,

“it is ok to have butterflies in your stomach. The key is to make them fly in the same formation”.

So, as you line up at the start line, take those butterflies and tell them to get in line and help you fly through the racecourse all the way to the finish line. Throw those hands up in the air. Put a big smile on your face. And know that you squashed all of those doubts and negative thoughts that you had before the big day.

One of the things that we, as a group of volunteer race organizers, pride ourselves on is providing a super safe and supportive race environment for our participants. That includes starting right now. We want you to be informed because information is power. Information calms the nerves and takes the “What if”-s out of the equation.

So, we have put together a series of videos and information for you that will help you prepare for and kick some serious butt on race day. Still have questions? Put them to the bigger group on the TriMuskokan Facebook Group page!

Everyone started as a beginner, and many have had the same question you have right now. So, use those who are around you to answer your questions and boost your confidence! Start with reading the athlete guide as there is a ton of information on there. Look at the schedule so you know what is happening when and where it is happening.

For those of you who are visual learners, here are some awesome videos that walk you through the whole event and how to get through transition.
