Our head coach, Jess Adam, has over 20 years of coaching athletes from Try-a-Tri’ers to Ironman distance triathletes. Every week, she schedules and programs workouts, then releases them via TeamSnap (so you can participate in person or on your own).

Take a read to learn more about each of the workouts where we sweat, laugh, and improve our technique and skills together. We encourage novices to get involved as much as possible as we all remember being a novice ourselves, and we want to ensure that you get the most out of these workouts. For those of you with experience under your race belt, this is a great way to improve your fitness, spend time with people who are equally passionate about the sport, and just like to hang out and train together.

Bike workouts

we get together from wherever we are to bike, sweat, chat, laugh, and encourage each other!

Winter bike Workout

Twice a week, we get together on Zoom and Zwift for a custom, no-drop workout designed by coach Jess Adam. You can also download these workouts to Zwift and do them on your own, but why not log on and join the team?

  • Tuesday mornings at 5:45am

    • The focus of these workouts are speed and threshold work

  • Friday mornings at 5:45am

    • The focus of these workouts are strength and cadence work

Summer bike workouts

We get together in person twice a week for bike workouts. All of these workouts are posted on TeamSnap, so if you can’t join us in person, you can do them on your own!

  • Saturday Long Rides - long and steady

track workouts

We hit the track year round for these great high yield workouts!

spring/summer/fall track

During the warmer months, we take full advantage of the awesome 400m rubberized track at Conroy Park in Huntsville.

  • Time: Thursdays @ 6:00am

  • Location: Conroy Park Outdoor Track (occasionally moved to Summit Center indoor track for inclement weather)

winter track

When the snow starts to come down, we move to the 217m Canada Summit Center indoor track.

  • Time: Thursdays @6:00am

  • Location: Canada Summit Center Indoor Track (above the Don Lough arena)

Although workout are available on TeamSnap for members to do anytime, there is nothing better than showing up in person to do it with other club members. This will push you harder than if you do it on your own, and you will get way more out of the workout.

swim workouts

we have a lot of water in muskoka, and we take full advantage of it!

Summer swims

During the warmer months, usually from June to early September, we get together for a group open water swim:

  • Time: Mondays @ 6:15am

  • Location: Camp Kitchen Park

  • These swims are informal workouts - Coach Jess will not always be there, but it is a good opportunity for club members to meet up and swim with friends

WINTER swims

We wish we could swim outside all year round but winter gets in the way!

Have no fear! Coach Jess puts together a swim workout every Monday (released on TeamSnap) to do in a pool near you. Additionally, the Town of Huntsville has a number of adult power-swim style classes for all levels that many of our club members sign up for.
